- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped

- 28 oz whole canned tomatoes
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until golden; add garlic and ground beef until browned.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and dried herbs. Simmer for 20–30 minutes.
- Mix ricotta cheese with one beaten egg and half the Parmesan in a bowl.
- Layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Let rest before slicing.
