  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Cook penne pasta in salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then stir in marinara sauce.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked penne, marinara sauce, half of the mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and grated Parmesan.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
