  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Cooking oil for searing

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the steak cubes to the marinade and toss until coated. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add cooking oil.
  4. Sear the marinated steak in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Sprinkle cornstarch over the cooked steak and toss with any leftover marinade in the skillet until slightly thickened.
