Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar and mix until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time and mix in the vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients, alternating with milk until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form; add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Once cooled, layer cakes with whipped cream and fresh berries in between layers; top with more cream and berries.
