  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 1/4 cup pure honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 cup bell peppers (diced)
  • 1/2 cup onions (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice under cold water until clear. In a pot, combine 1 cup rice with 2 cups water, bring to boil, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  2. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear in a skillet with olive oil for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned but pink inside. Let rest before slicing.
  3. Sauté diced bell peppers and onions in the same skillet until softened (3-4 minutes).
  4. In a bowl, whisk together honey, BBQ sauce, and heavy cream; pour over sautéed veggies.
  5. Add sliced steak back into the skillet; stir gently to coat and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve over fluffy rice and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
