- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
- 8 individual bags corn chips
- 2 cups chopped lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup salsa or pico de gallo
- 1 cup sour cream
- Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, avocados, chopped cilantro
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 7-10 minutes until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water; allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
- Open the individual bags of corn chips carefully from the top.
- Layer each bag with a scoop of seasoned meat followed by refried beans.
- Top with shredded lettuce, cheese, salsa, and any optional toppings you prefer.
- Serve immediately with spoons or fingers for digging in!
