Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Lettuce leaves (to taste)
  • Tomato slices (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and spices of choice. Dredge marinated chicken in flour, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Fry chicken for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the garlic mayo.
  5. Toast sandwich buns lightly. Spread garlic mayo on both sides, add lettuce and tomato, then top with crispy chicken.
