Description

Savor tender chicken glazed in savory sesame sauce, paired with crisp green beans and fluffy rice—ideal for family dinners or quick weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, diced
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by washing and chopping green beans. Dice chicken into uniform pieces.
  2. Create the sauce by whisking together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and cornstarch in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Sauté the chicken by heating sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Add green beans to the pan and sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are vibrant and tender.
  5. Combine everything by pouring the prepared sauce over the chicken and green beans; stir well to coat, then simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve over rice by fluffing cooked rice on plates, spooning sesame chicken on top, and garnishing with toasted sesame seeds.
