  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 1 can (400ml) full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (to taste)
  • 4 cups water (for cooking sago)

Instructions

  1. Soak sago pearls in water for 30 minutes; rinse under cold water.
  2. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot; add soaked sago and cook for 10-15 minutes until translucent. Drain excess water.
  3. In another saucepan, heat coconut milk with honey/sugar over low heat until dissolved but not boiling.
  4. Combine cooked sago with the warm coconut milk mixture.
  5. Gently fold in chopped strawberries, reserving some for garnish.
  6. Chill in serving bowls for at least 1 hour before serving.
