- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg (for egg wash) + 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Prepare the crust by mixing flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until a dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- For the filling, toss apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into circles (approximately 4 inches wide).
- Assemble by placing circles on parchment and adding apple filling. Fold over edges and seal.
- Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
