  • 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded aged cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish, followed by half of the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  3. Repeat with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of cheddar cheese on top.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 15 minutes to achieve a golden brown crust.
  5. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
