  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (or strong brewed coffee)
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and espresso powder.
  3. Mix melted butter with eggs until smooth and glossy. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. In another bowl, blend mascarpone cheese with coffee liqueur until smooth.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the pan, layer with mascarpone mixture, then top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is set; let cool before slicing and dusting with cocoa.
